Converter Hydrogenation Unit
STC HYDROGENATION UNITThe Converter is a silicon tetrachloride (STC) hydrogenation unit that allows the plant to operate in a closed loop manner. This unit is fed STC from the exhaust stream of the polysilicon reactor and converts it back to trichlorosilane (TCS) using carbon reduction technology. The converted TCS is then recycled back to the polysilicon reactor for decomposition.
